Biographical note
I’m a social scientist and Assistant Professor in Management at Bocconi University.
My work builds on theories of social cognition, intergroup relations, and conflict management to examine how major demographic shifts (e.g., an aging labor force, female workers’ growing contribution to their household’s income) shape individuals’ work attitudes and outcomes, particularly when it comes to issues of inclusion and inequalities. For instance, in one stream of research, I show how, contrary to common beliefs, younger workers face more prejudices than older workers, and how these prejudices shape their views of the workplace. In another, I find that making division of domestic labor more transparent between dual-earner partners pushes men to do more at home, which reduces family interferences with work duties for female professionals. Overall, I seek to advance theories of management and psychology, but also identify practical solutions to tackle challenges inherent to a rapidly changing workforce.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have my work published in academic journals such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and Journal of Experimental Psychology: General. My most recent work is being prepared for submission at Journal of Applied Psychology and Organization Science. It’s also been featured in international media outlets such as the Financial Times, BBC, CBC, and Der Spiegel. I also received award for my work, including the Outstanding Conference Paper Award 2024 at the International Association of Conflict Management conference.
I also love to share academic insights in the classroom! I’ve taught the core management course to undergrads at NYU Stern and the negotiations course to MBAs at Wharton, earning an Excellence in Teaching Commendation at Stern and an Excellence in Teaching Award at Wharton, two years in a row.
I hold a dual bachelor’s degree in International Trade and Finance, an MSc in Management from London Business School, an MS in Management Studies from MIT Sloan, and a PhD in Management & Organizations from NYU Stern School of Business. Prior to Bocconi, I was a post-doctoral researcher at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
I am a French native, and when I am not teaching or conducting research, I love reading American classics, watching indie films, cooking up vegetarian dishes for friends, and spending quality time with my wife and two sons.
